About the consent project

Looking into issues of consent in todays society for women, LGTBQ+ and children by researching into social media and current news stories regarding sexual assault and domestic abuse. Spoken to close friends and family members and heard stories which was a motivation alongside the shocking statistics of the abuse and sexual assault cases. Using embellishment, beading, print and graphic design techniques to create a textile collection which, brings across a message of empowerment for survivors of abuse and sexual assault. But to also send a wave of shock of the amount of cases that take place in society and how many of those go unreported everyday.
